We had Packet-Pick-Up last night, so when I got home from that I took a shower and went to bed. About thirty minutes after going to bed, I realized I had forgotten to make a map of the trail for the sign set-up. I bolted out of bed and made a map quickly on Microsoft word while listening to some good country music. Then I went back to bed.
Then, I got a phone call with a question about the Walk. Then I went to sleep... then I woke up and was really stuffy, so I took allergy medicine. Then one of our volunteers texted me. Then I tried going back to sleep...
THEN, I was up at 4:30am to get ready for the Walk! lol
Reason for this crazy-sleeping: Excited! The past two nights were like that... I guess my body just doesn't like to sleep when it's excited! Afraid I am going to miss out or something! (Anyway, I am So looking forward to sleeping tonight!!! :)
This morning when I arrived at the Plaza at 5:55am (we were supposed to meet at 6), Taylor and her parents were already there and had some things set up. Looks like I wasn't the only one excited! ;)
Emily arrived soon there after, and then one after the other of the volunteers.
Isaiah 26, "all that we have accomplished, You have done for us." It is So Accurate. Because it is easy, at least for me, to at least in part "take
credit" for "small" projects accomplished. I can handle that, right?
(Haha... wrong!)
This Walk, however, was anything but small. Every time I wanted to "dream small", God sent others to challenge me to Dream Bigger.
Well, there is No Way we could have accomplished this "Big Dream". It was all God, and we give Him the glory:
264 people!!!
It rained, rained Thursday and Friday. But my Mama had been praying for the weather since last November when we began planning this Walk... and it was gorgeous! God is faithful!
"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good: his love endures forever." (Psalm 107:1)
"Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies." (Psalm 36:5)
THANK YOU to each of the participants and sponsors! Your support was an answer to prayer and such an encouragement to Taylor, Emily and I!!!
