Jaylaah, Janessah, Jessica and Stephanie worked as translators; along with Susan and Rogerio.
At the end of the "camp", two of the college girls shared their testimonies about what Christ means to them, and then came the surprise for the kids...
Shoes!
The college team had collected shoes while in the States, so that at each place they visit, they have give each child a pair of shoes! (If you notice, in the pictures, they play barefoot. Most own flip-flops, but don't wear them to play basketball.)
It will be interesting, when we go back today, if they have their shoes on.
The Coach talked to them about how the shoes were a gift, but they meant something. Every time they wore them, he wanted them to think about walking as Jesus walked =)
On a side-not, apparently I talk in my sleep. In Portuguese.
Good gracious lol.
At breakfast this morning Pricilla, who I share a room with, asked if I was awake when she came to bed last night. I said no.
She then preceded to tell how I was like,
"Obrigada!" (thank you)
She asked me if I was awake but no answer. I said "Obrigada!" again, then said "Desculpa!" (I'm sorry).
I better be careful which words I learn in Portuguese haha! =)
